Favorite Character Friday: Two l's!

FCF has changed! I think there are way too many great characters out there to limit them to just books so start talking about your favorite characters from movies, tv shows, AND books. Show me your favorites!

Favorite Character Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Adria's Musings & Reviews that gives readers a chance to celebrate their favorite characters, because with millions of books, tv shows, and movies out there and more coming out constantly, characters are like potato chips, you can't have just one.

How it works: Every week highlight one of your favorite characters. Be sure to include where they’re from (Book, TV Show, Movie) as well! Share the love and maybe someone will check it out and see why that character is one of your favorites! Unlike the Book Boyfriend meme (which was a great meme), your Favorite Character Fridays choice can be male or female and can be from TV or Movies!

Favorite Character: Jack O’Neill (“That’s with TWO l’s.”)

Where Can We Meet This Character? Stargate SG-1 the tv series.

Why is this character your favorite (Feel free to include a favorite quote or scene)? How can someone NOT love Jack? He’s sarcastic, he’s mischievous, he’s intelligent (though he likes to hide it), he’s courageous, and he’s a little nuts. Not to be confused with the Stargate movie O’Neil (Who only has one “l” and has “No sense of humor”), this Jack O’Neill has a special je ne sais pas that makes him an unforgettable character.

His best friend is the total opposite of him, but they bring out the best in each other. Not to mention Jack didn’t want to accept his death.

Even attempt a rescue of a creature he really has no love for all because his nerdy best friend made friends with the creature.

He has confidence in his team and likes to show them off.

He likes to taunt and tease the opposition.

And to their faces.

He’s loyal.

He’s in love with Sam but won’t get in the way of her career (which she loves), and he isn’t entirely sure he can give her what she deserves.

He has a quirky sense of humor (In this episode, time keeps looping, making everyone at the SGC relive the same day without even knowing. Jack and Teal’c are the only ones who remember what happened and know that they’re stuck in a time loop. Tired of trying to figure out how to break the cycle, the two take a few loops off to do anything they want since there are no consequences to their actions. Of course, Jack is the one who REALLY goes for it.)

Even when the situation is dire, he can still be a smart ass.
