Favorite Character Friday: Nolan O'Connor for the Win!

Favorite Character Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Adria's Musings & Reviews that gives readers a chance to celebrate their favorite characters, because with millions of books out there and more coming out every week, characters are like potato chips, you can't have just one.

How it works: Every week you pick one of your favorite characters and tell everyone WHY they're one of your favorite characters. Be sure to include the blurb and book cover as well! Share the love and maybe someone will read that same book and see why that character is one of your favorites! Unlike the Book Boyfriend meme (which was a great meme), your Favorite Character Fridays choice can be male or female!

Favorite Character: Nolan O’Connor

Book Title & Author: Mistletoe Me, Baby by Katie Reus.

Why is this character your favorite (Feel free to include a favorite quote or scene)? The whole O’Connor clan is just the best but it’s Nolan that really got to me. He’s as sweet and steady as they come. Can you imagine having a friend who understands you so well and accepts all your weirdness? Oh and he happens to be secretly in love with you? Totally sigh worthy. Nolan isn’t some tough guy with a soft heart, he’s the genuine good guy who yeah, can be a tough guy but he’s such a natural caretaker that it’s hard to see him as anything but excellent boyfriend material. I’m making him sound a bit dull but he’s not, he’s fun, and loves to mess around with his friends and family.

As he started clearing the table, much to her annoyance, the dryer dinged. Like a flash, she was out of her seat and gone from the kitchen. Moments later she was back, his dry shirt in her hands.
She practically shoved it at him.
He leaned against the countertop, in no hurry to put it on, and enjoying seeing her so off-balance while she struggled to hide her attraction to him. “Should I be offended that you’re so eager to see me dressed?”
“Ha ha. You know exactly how good you look. I’m not feeding your ego.” She poked him once in his abs. “I just figured you might be cold.”

Book Cover/Blurb:
She needs a fake fiancé…
With the holidays fast approaching, Miranda Flores makes up a fake fiancé so her well-meaning family will get off her back. She just never expected them to suddenly show up on her doorstep a couple weeks before Christmas, wanting to spend the holidays with her. So she turns to Nolan O’Connor, her sexy best friend, and asks him for the favor of a lifetime: she needs him to act the part of her fiancé until her parents leave town.

He wants forever…
Pretending to be engaged to the woman he’s already fallen for? No problem. Nolan agrees to Miranda’s fake engagement scheme because as far as he’s concerned, she’s the one. But he plays his role too well, because soon the entire town thinks they’re engaged and things get more complicated—especially since he can’t pretend with her anymore. Then tragedy strikes and Miranda tries to shut him out, but Nolan won’t let her. He’ll do whatever it takes to convince her that he wants to make her his forever.
