Meet Dakota!

Hey everyone! I’ve been wanting to do this for a while but I wanted to wait until he was a little bigger to introduce him and chat a bit with him though he’s still a baby so he’s focused on like two things right now.

Anyway, meet my little nephew, Dakota! With a little help from his mom, I was able to find out a little bit more about this scrappy little fella and I hope you guys will love him like I do!

Full Name: Dakota Rayne Reynolds
Birthday: June 20, 2017
Breed: Frenchton (Boston Terrier French Bulldog mix)
Siblings: Piggy Carter
Nicknames: Dak-Dak, Doom, Patitas of Doom, Doombot, Raindrop, Baby Gollum.
Favorite Pastimes:
Dakota: Playing, eating and naping. I like the park!
Mom: Don't forget pooping
Favorite Toys:
Dakota: My bwanch (branch) and my snakey
Ultimate Goal for Adulthood:
Dakota: To be big and strong like auntie’s Dragon.
Adria: I’m sure you will be little Dakota. My dragon would be proud of you.

Hiya Dakota, how are you doing?
Dakota: Auntie Play?
Adria: You’re so cute, I want to cuddle you!

So you’re the newest addition to the family, how does it feel to have a family of your own?
Dakota: I like to crunch leaves!

What is a typical day like for you? Do you have a routine?
Dakota's Mom: he wakes me up usually to go potty around 1am and 3am then at 5am to say goodbye to Papa-
Dakota: I love Papa!
Yes he does sleep like this!
Dakota's Mom: Yes he loves you too. After we say bye he has breakfast and goes poopy and we snuggle in before I have to get ready for work. On the weekend we go to the park or play. Lots of playing.

Your mom and dad sure love you a lot, but like all parents sometimes they can be a little too much, what is one thing you find embarrassing about them?
Dakota: Papa poots and blames it on me and momma is the fart police!
Dakota's Mom: Dakota!

What about your most embarrassing moment so far?
Dakota: Momma pushed me off the sofa and she laughed.
Dakota's Mom: No, you were laying and flipped like an acrobat and flipped off the sofa and landed on your feet. Then I laughed.
Dakota: What's an acro-
Dakota's Mom: I'll tell you later.
Dakota: ... I fell in a hole while chasing mama and papa was like "oh sh-"
Dakota's Mom: Dakota!!

You also have a sibling, a guinea pig named Piggy Carter who is a bit of a tyrant according to your mom. What is it like living with such a demanding sibling?
Dakota: She yells a lot. And she shoved her nose in my nose!

What has been the most fun thing you’ve done so far?
Dakota: we go to the park and play "catch the crazy mama!" And crunch leaves.
Dakota's Mom: Yeah he started tripping me with the leash.

Your mom watches a lot of Marvel movies so I’m sure you’re familiar with most, if not all of them so which superhero do you identify with the most and why?
Dakota: Mama, snack?
Dakota's Mom: Ok baby just a minute. No one yet. He likes to watch the action scenes and asks where the puppies are. And then usually falls asleep and snores.

The next few questions are for Dakota’s mom.
What do you think is Dakota’s theme song or song that best represents him?

Lol Doom Bot song Joey (My husband) made up. Totally not related but we like to have Dak-Dak dance parties. He has a playlist and I like to dance around with him in my arms. Or my husband will play Guitar Hero and I will dance with him to that.

What was your first thought when Dakota was brought to you?
That he was so tiny. I was terrified. I thought "how am I going to take care of this tiny little creature." When I handed him to my husband he was so afraid he was going to crush him that he immediately handed him back.

I know you haven’t had him for very long but furbabies have a way of teaching you new things every day, what has been the most important thing he’s taught you so far?
Patience. Lol all those nights waking up every hour and cleaning up poopy explosions playing with him at odd hours because he couldn't go to sleep.

Love. Not just the love you feel for a pet but something much deeper and beautiful. When I look at him, I see a little soul that makes me want to be a better person. I see in his little eyes unconditional love.

Okay little Dakota I don’t want to take up anymore of your time, I know you have a lot of playing to do today so last question, is there anything you’d like people to know?
Dakota: I love my mamma and my papa and snacks.
