Adria Picks: Ten Games/Game Apps I'm Obsessed With.

Okay so I’m a compulsive list maker. I have lists for EVERYTHING all over the place. I have music playlists on my phone, iPod, and Kindle which I have HANDWRITTEN in two journals and typed out on virtual notepads on said devices. I have a LONG list of book boyfriends, a short list of all time favorite reads, a list of TSTL characters, a list of auto buy authors… Heck some of my lists are funny or straight up weird so I thought Why not share them?. Maybe they’ll be good for a laugh or maybe you’ll want to start up your own list of lists. This is just in good fun really, well, for me it’s more like I need a place to put all these lists that drive everyone nuts around here.

Today’s List: Games/Game Apps I’m Addicted To

I am by no means a gamer in the real sense, not because I don’t want to be but because I just can’t right now. However that doesn’t mean I don’t like games, I do. I love computer games, and apps on my phone and kindle that let me have some fun and blow off steam. There are a handful that I play on a daily basis and that I would recommend to anyone just looking for some easy fun. Some of these are even FREE so yay!

Computer Games

Tomb Raider. Aside from the last one, I’ve played all of them on the computer and no matter what anyone says, I love them. I love Lara Croft because hello she’s the female Indiana Jones and I SOOO wanted to be Indiana Jones when I was a kid.

Apps for Kindle
Solitaire – I can’t get enough of this card game and I don’t know why! My mom is always telling me that it's a boring game that she can't get the hang of. Lol. I have it on my phone and on my Kindle but I like the kindle version better because I can customize the background and card backs using any pics I want. Can you say Game of Thrones background? Get the phone version on Google Play for Free or the Kindle Version also for free.

My Talking Tom – There are like a hundred versions (Or maybe three) of this app. Tom is a cat that repeats everything you say in a helium like voice. You can dress him up, and play “mini games” to earn coins to decorate his home and of course buy food for him. I have the free version and it’s a blast. Get it for free on Amazon and when you do, touch his tail, stomach, and feet for a funny reaction. There’s also a Talking Ben and one with a bird too.

My Talking Angela – The female version of Talking Tom. She has more clothing options and you can put makeup on her. Her “mini games” are very limited but she’s fun to have even if it’s just to dress her up. Get it on Amazon for FREE.

Dragons World – You need the internet to play this one and there are in app purchases you can make but I love this game because you get to buy dragons, breed them, train them, and enter them into battle tournaments. I have tons of dragons at this point. I love the different results when you breed one type of dragon (Air for example) with another (Fire and you get a Phoenix dragon or something else depending). You can download the app for free on Amazon

Talking Tom Gold Run – A spin off from one of the “mini games” from My Talking Tom, you basically guide Tom (Or one of his buddies) around obstacles and collect gold bars from a fleeing criminal. Pretty fun. Get it on Amazon for Free.

PetWorld Wildlife America – You have a sanctuary of sorts for injured wild animals. You clean their cages, feed them, treat them for various ailments, and then someone comes to pick them up. It’s free to start but if you want to unlock the bears, foxes, wolves, etc you have to pay for it. Amazon

Apps for Phone

The Oregon Trail: Settler – Remember the old school computer game where you had to make it to Oregon alive? Well this is the continuation of that game. You’re already in Oregon, now you have to buy up pieces of land to build houses, businesses, grow crops, create supplies, and hunt. I get super addicted to this one and play it every freaking day. It’s come a long way since I first started playing it about three years ago. Get it on Google Play for FREE and have some fun!

Super Mario Run – If it’s got Mario I’ll play it. I’ve always wanted a phone version of a Mario game because it’s been YEARS since I last played a game. I loved Yoshi’s Island and Super Mario RPG so freaking much and the less we get into Mario Kart the more time we’ll have. This game has the first level free but after that ya gotta pay for it. I probably will in the future when I have the spare cash because it’s Mario guys. Get the app on Google Play.

Draw Something – This is basically the app version of Pictionary and I do enjoy playing it with my sister and mom. Drawing pics can be a bitch with my fat fingers but I don’t care, sometimes I cheat and just write the answer on the screen for my mom or sister lol. Anyway, there’s a free version and a paid version. Get the free version on Google Play and if you do, let me know and we can play!
