What's Happening on Instagram + Outtakes

I’ve never done an Instagram post on the blog before but I thought it was time to do one plus a few outtakes that didn’t make the cut. I actually have THREE Instagram accounts. My personal one, the one for the blog, and one for Hayley. So there may be some that you haven’t seen if you aren’t following all three.
So without further ado:

Anna Cade from Herding Cats and Burning Soup inspired me to try Hand Lettering. I’m on a very tight budget but Michaels had a 50% off coupon so I used it to buy beginner’s pens and a sweet little notebook with smooth paper. An employee helped me pick out the pens and the notebook. It makes me giggle when I see the cover.

My first attempt at lettering taught me three things: 1. Using lines to guide me makes me too cautious and turns me into a perfectionist so I opted to not use lines. 2. I do better with the medium to bold pens. 3. I need to get some grid paper though to try and see if I can learn on that.

Hayley finally finished off my mom’s pillow. Mr. Pud actually started destroying it before he passed away and Hayley just exploded the rest of it. She was very proud.

Bonus: Video of her just enjoying the hell out of the mess she made.

#NationalSiblingDay happened and I had to share some pics of me and my sister. I haven’t seen her in about four years.

#NationalPetDay happened yesterday but unfortunately we had to take Amelia back to the vet for some follow up blood work. She got some extra antibiotics because while her white blood cell count went down, she’s still super thin. Hopefully this takes care of things.

While we were already at the vet’s, we asked to get Hayley tested for heartworms. Thankfully she came out negative and got to start her chewable tablets. She was not thrilled to have been tricked into going to the vet’s but she was a champ with everyone she met.

And yesterday morning this goofball was looking at me like this.

Bonus: Spencer got a new box. He's very pleased.
