Favorite Character Friday: He's the twin of Acheron!

Favorite Character Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Adria's Romance Reviews that gives readers a chance to celebrate their favorite characters!

Why a weekly meme? Because really, with millions of books out there and more coming out every week, characters are like potato chips, you can't have just one.

How it works: Every week you pick one of your favorite characters and tell every one who it is, what book they're from and WHY they're one of your favorite characters. Be sure to include the blurb and book cover as well! Share the love and maybe someone will read that same book and see why that character is one of your favorites! Unlike the Book Boyfriend meme (which was a great meme), your Favorite Character Fridays choice can be male or female!

Favorite Character: Styxx

Book Title & Author: Styxx by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Why is this character your favorite (Feel free to include a favorite quote or scene)?
Styxx barely edges out his twin Acheron as my favorite. The ultimate turnaround story, NOTHING readers thought they knew about Styxx was really true. It was only how Ash saw Styxx. The reality was that Styxx’s life was far from the privileged, luxurious life Acheron was convinced his twin had.

Long story short, Styxx’s life was an exercise in torture and the ultimate test of just how much a loss and betrayal a heart could take. Styxx was a jaded, bitter man by the time his story comes back to the modern day. 11,000 years he’s lived and only a handful of that time was spend at peace.

Styxx’s ability to maintain some bit of goodness in him was remarkable and I loved that even though he was beaten, tortured and forsaken by the people who were supposed to love him, he still risked his life to save the innocent. And he always kept his word.

And, Styxx has a killer sense of humor. Morbid at times but always sarcastic, this guy made me laugh hard at some of the things he said. I assume to balance out the harshness of his life. It didn’t matter if he was in front of a man or a god who could splinter him into a thousand pieces, Styxx was a smart ass.

Ash narrowed his gaze as he saw the other two blood-soaked cloths on the ground. “You still get headaches, too?”

“Yes, and the biggest one of all just traipsed through my door.”

Book Cover/Blurb:
As the twin to Acheron, Styxx hasn’t always been on his brother’s side. They’ve spent more centuries going at each other’s throats than protecting their backs. Now Styxx has a chance to prove his loyalty to his brother—but only if he’s willing to trade his life and future for Acheron’s.

There are two sides to every story.
And you don’t know Styxx…

The Atlantean goddess of Wrath and Misery, Bethany was born to right wrongs. She owes Acheron a debt that she vows to repay, no matter what it takes. He will join their fellow gods in hell and nothing is going to stop her. But things are never what they seem, and Acheron is no longer the last of his line…Meanwhile, Styxx is faced with a desperate decision: To save the world, he can either join forces with the brother who betrayed him or battle the only woman who has held his heart. Which will he choose? The real fight for survival is about to begin…

To make things simpler, I'm taking a page from Brazen Babe's blog who took a page from Talk Supe's blog and asking that when you link up, link up with your tag link. For example, I always tag this meme as "favorite character friday" and so my tag link looks like this:

That way, you can just leave a comment every week and others can just click on your link to see your latest FCF! Easy right?
