Favorite Character Friday: Blade is his name...

Favorite Character Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Adria's Romance Reviews that gives readers a chance to celebrate their favorite characters!

Why a weekly meme? Because really, with millions of books out there and more coming out every week, characters are like potato chips, you can't have just one.

How it works: Every week you pick one of your favorite characters and tell everyone who it is, what book they're from and WHY they're one of your favorite characters. Be sure to include the blurb and book cover as well! Share the love and maybe someone will read that same book and see why that character is one of your favorites! Unlike the Book Boyfriend meme (which was a great meme), your Favorite Character Fridays choice can be male or female!

Favorite Character: Billy Blade

Book Title & Author: Lady of Desire by Gaelen Foley

Why is this character your favorite (Feel free to include a favorite quote or scene)? Oh my goodness, what’s not to like about this character?! The son of an abusive father who runs away as a boy, joins a street gang, earns a notorious reputation as the leader of a gang at war as an adult, all while occasionally helping out a wealthy aristocratic family by passing on information from time to time. Geez, where to begin? When Billy Blade first stepped onto the pages of Lord of Ice, I was a goner. The flamboyant, charming, twenty five year old cutthroat was clearly more than he appeared and to me appeared larger than life even though he had such a small amount of page time. In that time, Billy let some things slip, like that arrogant “I don’t care” attitude to show something else entirely and if you pay close attention to when he speaks, you’ll notice he drops something else too, a rather big clue about his past.

When I saw that he was the hero of his own book, I squealed in delight! He had so many secrets to tell and it he was such a handful that it took an aristocratic wildcat to set him straight and love him even with his lingering rough edges. Billy made me laugh at his roguish behavior and had me swooning over his charming but vulnerable side. Lady of Desire was and still is, one of my all time favorite romances because of the dashing Billy Blade and his love for Lady Jacinda. That, and his tattoos. RAWR.

Book Cover/Blurb:
Impetuous Lady Jacinda Knight is the daughter of a scandalous woman. Though society predicts she’ll follow in her mother’s footsteps, the spirited beauty stands unashamed of her passionate nature. Then one night, in flight from a safe but loveless marriage arranged by her strict older brother, Jacinda finds herself alone on a dark and dangerous street face-to-face with Billy Blade, the notorious leader of a band of thieves. His stolen kisses awaken in her a longing for a man she can never possess.

A handsome scoundrel running from a secret past, Billy Blade has never met a woman like Jacinda–her fiery innocence and blossoming sensuality set his rebel’s heart ablaze. Having turned his back on the privilege and power of his tyrannical father’s house years before, he vows to return to his rightful place and reclaim his title, Earl of Rackford–to win the love of the ravishing beauty who has stolen his heart

To make things simpler, I'm taking a page from Brazen Babe's blog who took a page from Talk Supe's blog and asking that when you link up, link up with your tag link. For example, I always tag this meme as "favorite character friday" and so my tag link looks like this:

That way, you can just leave a comment every week and others can just click on your link to see your latest FCF! Easy right?
