Favorite Character Friday

Favorite Character Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Adria's Romance Reviews that gives readers a chance to celebrate their favorite characters!

Why a weekly meme? Because really, with millions of books out there and more coming out every week, characters are like potato chips, you can't have just one.

How it works: Every week you pick one of your favorite characters and tell every one who it is, what book they're from and WHY they're one of your favorite characters. Be sure to include the blurb and book cover as well! Share the love and maybe someone will read that same book and see why that character is one of your favorites! Unlike the Book Boyfriend meme (which was a great meme), your Favorite Character Fridays choice can be male or female!

Favorite Character: Sebastian Blakely, Lord Templemore

Book Title & Author: After the Abduction by Sabrina Jeffries

Why is this character your favorite (Feel free to include a favorite quote or scene)? What is it about the name Sebastian? For the longest time the only image that came to mind was a little red crab but now it is visions of tall, dark and sexy.

Sebastian is such a serious character, so dedicated to keeping his tarnished family name out of any kind of scandal that he isn’t living life. Granted, he did kidnap a lady two years ago but he was masquerading as someone else. He was sweet and kind but also stubborn and dull in the beginning. I shouldn’t rejoice in his suffering but it was clear he wasn’t over Juliet but his internal battle over keeping the secret of Juliet’s abduction or telling her really did make him a better man. It forced him to make room in his life for more than just family reputation and society’s approval. As the story progressed, Sebastian became less of a title and more of a man. It was really his longing and passion for Juliet that made him such a dream boat to me.

Book Cover/Blurb:
After two London seasons—and a score of resoundingly dull society suitors—Juliet Laverick finds herself longing for one man: Morgan Pryce, the dashing scoundrel who kidnapped her two years ago. But her determination to bring the rogue to justice hasn't waned—until Morgan's twin brother, Sebastian, arrives with some shocking news: Juliet's mysterious paramour has disappeared.

Sebastian, Lord Templemore, dares not tell Juliet the truth: he is the man she seeks—it is his kiss she yearns for. Confessing to the abduction would bring devastating scandal upon them both. But how can he persuade her to forsake her dedicated pursuit of her dream lover, when all he dreams of is holding her in his arms again?
