Favorite Character Friday

Favorite Character Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Adria's Romance Reviews that gives readers a chance to celebrate their favorite characters!

Why a weekly meme? Because really, with millions of books out there and more coming out every week, characters are like potato chips, you can't have just one.

How it works: Every week you pick one of your favorite characters and tell everyone who it is, what book they're from and WHY they're one of your favorite characters. Be sure to include the blurb and book cover as well! Share the love and maybe someone will read that same book and see why that character is one of your favorites! Unlike the Book Boyfriend meme (which was a great meme), your Favorite Character Fridays choice can be male or female!

Favorite Character: Revenant.

Book Title & Author: Revenant by Larissa Ione

Why is this character your favorite (Feel free to include a favorite quote or scene)? Where Reaver was the golden boy, the ultimate weapon that the good guys had in the Demonica series, Revenant was the total opposite. The bad boy who could, on a good day crush you beneath his boots and on a bad day pull your guts out through your nose. In addition to being Reaver’s twin, Revenant was the bad guy’s answer to the all powerful angel that Reaver became.

I love both brothers but Rev had an edge over Reaver in the snark department and that my friends is something that stands out to me. More tortured than his twin, Rev suffered literal hell for centuries not knowing who he was until his memories were once again restored (More like shoved back into his brain) and he once again hated the sight of his twin. It took some time and several bloody fights before he and Reaver could bear to be in the same room as one another but in the meantime the snark fights Revenant engaged in with Reaver, Blaspheme, Harvester, The Horseman, everyone really, was something I greatly enjoyed. I couldn’t even be mad at this supreme, but lovable asshole.

Book Cover/Blurb:
HELL HATH NO FURY . . .

For five thousand years, Revenant believed he was alone in the world, a fallen angel beyond any redemption. Now he finds he has a twin brother who had all the light and love Revenant was denied. Caught in a tug of war between Heaven and Hell, he must weigh his thirst for revenge against his desire for a mysterious female named Blaspheme-a female whose very origins could deliver him into salvation . . . or destruction.

LIKE AN ANGEL SCORNED

Blaspheme has a deadly secret: she's the forbidden offspring of an angel and a fallen angel. Hunted by both heavenly and satanic forces, she has survived only by laying low and trusting no one. When Revenant claims he can save them both, how can she possibly believe him? But the powerful angel is persistence incarnate and for Blaspheme, there's no place she can hide in Heaven or Hell where he won't find her . . .

To make things simpler, I'm taking a page from Brazen Babe's blog who took a page from Talk Supe's blog and asking that when you link up, link up with your tag link. For example, I always tag this meme as "favorite character friday" and so my tag link looks like this:
