Format: .mobi (provided by publisher in exchange for an honest review)
Publisher: Kensington
Release Date: October 10, 2014

A gargoyle of Levet’s charm and intelligence should not be facing a solitary Christmas. True, he may appear a little unconventional—not to mention unconventionally little—even for a gargoyle. But what Levet lacks in height he makes up for in loyalty, and being banned from the festivities surrounding the Queen of Weres’ new pups is quite unfair.

So when a beautiful Christmas angel begs for help in fulfilling her duties, Levet has nothing better to do than agree. Armed with a magical wand, Levet confronts Damon, a pureblood Were intent on seizing the throne. Challenging the King will put the pups at risk—and drive away Damon’s potential mate, Gia. Who better to convince Damon to choose love, not war, than a gargoyle expert in amour? With a little magic, and a lot of Levet, this may yet be a truly wonderful Christmastime…

Forget the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future; it’s up to a gargoyle to save his friends AND Christmas!

It’s Christmas Eve and poor gargoyle Levet has just been denied entrance into the King of Were’s lair to visit with his dearest friend Harley. Feeling depressed and doubting his self worth, Levet takes to wandering the streets when he meets an unlikely creature: A Christmas Angel. The Angel needs Levet’s help completing her duties and with nothing else to do, Levet agrees.

His task: Confront and stop Damon, a pure blooded Were from seizing the throne. If Levet fails, not only will the current king, his mate and new born pups be in danger but Damon will drive away his future mate Gia. So it is up to Levet to make Damon see the error of his ways and save Christmas!

A Very Levet Christmas is just the story to kick off the holiday season! If you’re unfamiliar with fan favorite Levet then consider this your official introduction to the lovable but stubborn gargoyle. I love this guy, he’s always been such a scene stealer in the Guardians of Eternity series, often annoying the males in the story to the point where they want to kill him, yet Levet effortlessly charms the females into loving him and thus their mates have to tolerate him.

Proof that heroes come in all shapes and sizes, Levet is more than capable of handling the task he’s been given and he does it all with his signature style combination of wit, charm and sarcasm. If ever I needed a reminder of how much I adore Levet then this short story was the ticket. He’s apparent love for the Christmas holiday spirit was infectious and I found myself anticipating Christmas myself, which doesn’t happen too often. Bring on the Christmas music and decorations!

At only about 77 pages, A Very Levet Christmas is packed with enough Christmas goodness to fill stockings, coffee cups AND a very large Christmas tree. Just like Levet would want.

Final Verdict: Why wouldn't you want to get into the holiday spirit with such a charming gargoyle like Levet?

What is YOUR favorite incarnation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol? I personally like the Muppet version.
