ARC Review: No More Mr. Nice Guy by Amy Andrews

Format: .mobi (provided by publisher in exchange for an honest review)
Publisher: Entangled: Brazen
Release Date: September 29, 2014

He's done playing the nice guy...

Newly single school counselor Josie Butler just made herself a Sexy To-Do list (featuring Bad Boys only). To her mortification, her best friend's gorgeous older brother Mack finds it…and laughs. But when Josie goes looking for some sexy fun, Mack's nice guy side turns all hot bad-assery, and suddenly she's pinned against an alley wall. Hottest. Sex. Ever.

Veterinarian Mack Kennedy can't believe Josie wants to ditch her sweet, girl-next-door lifestyle. Even worse, that she'd consider doing it with anyone but him. When she leaves for London they'll go back to being 'just friends' but until then, he's going to show her just how bad nice guys can be. And it's the perfect plan, as long as no one finds out... and no one falls in love.

Those Entangled: Brazen titles are going to kill me. In the best possible way of course.

Good girl Josie Butler has had it with “Mr. Nice Guy”. Sure they might be the kind you settle down with but only after you’ve been with the Bad Boy and experimented a bit. During a drunken night with her best friend, Josie makes a daring and sexy “To Do” list that requires a bad boy (or two). Unfortunately her best friend’s older brother Mack Kennedy finds it... And laughs. Frustrated, Josie decides to follow through with her list but doesn’t count on Mack wanting to be her Bad Boy.

Mack can’t believe he’s reading a naughty “To Do” list written by a person he’s known almost all his life, worse, he can’t believe that he wants to be the one Josie does those things with. After a red hot sexual encounter in an alley, Mack and Josie agree to work through Josie’s list and then when she has to leave for London, they’ll go back to being just friends. No problem right?

Wrong. Deliciously wrong. No More Mr. Nice Guy is one of the sexiest Friends to Lovers story I’ve ever read. I’m serious. If you’re looking for a quick but seriously hot read with humor sprinkled in then this is definitely the one for you. The sexual tension between Mack and Josie goes from zero to sixty within a few lines of dialogue and it only got hotter as their story progressed.

Did I mention Mack is on my list of Book Boyfriends? Yeah, to me there’s nothing sexier than a nice guy veterinarian with a bad boy in the bedroom side. Whew just thinking about him gets me all flustered! Then there’s Josie, whom I totally bonded with. If only I had the guts to write my own list and my own Mack to find it, I'd be in heaven.

Though it's a short story, No More Mr. Nice Guy included enough back story on Mack and Josie to keep the book from being one sex scene after another and that's what I was looking for. I enjoyed the scenes where Mack and Josie were hanging out with Sal, Mack's sister and Josie's best friend. Sal had her share of baggage and I didn't expect the emotional jolt her history provided. Nor did I expect the tears I shed when Mack had a tough day on the job. Again, that's what made this book work for me, novella or not, it had more emotions in it than I anticipated.

Final Verdict: Undeniably sexy and terribly romantic, No More Mr. Nice Guy just landed author Amy Andrews on my "Watch" list and I wouldn't be surprised if she soon ended up on my Auto Buy list too.
