My Favorite Author: Larissa Ione
Wow, can you believe it's December already? I can't, I'm a little sad that the year is almost over (and that winter is barely starting in my neck of the woods) but one thing I can tell you is that I am over the moon excited about, in my opinion, one of the most anticipated books of the year:
Yep, that mysterious, bad boy angel who has had me at the edge of my seat for years! That's right my fellow bookworms, this month's pick from my list of favorite authors is none other than the super talented Larissa Ione! You know what that means right? Yep, the winner gets to pick what book they want by Larissa, and that includes Reaver. You definitely don't want to miss out this month. So read on my fellow Demonica/Lords of Deliverance fans!
One does not simply walk out of a bookstore empty handed! It is folly!
Still, Pleasure Unbound sat on my makeshift bed (the sofa) for a few more days until I finally picked it up out of curiosity and started reading.
Best. Decision. Ever.
I was amazed at the world Larissa Ione created for her characters. The idea that a demon world could run parallel to the human one was fascinating as was the red hot chemistry between Tayla and Eidolon, two characters from opposite sides of the human/demon war. By the time I finished Pleasure Unbound I was kicking myself in the ass for not buying the next two books in the series, but like all book lovers, I had a plan...
That totally backfired when I ended up at the bookstore on the one day they closed. So I had to wait until the following week and thankfully everything went off without a hitch. That was back in 2010 and I've been devouring her books ever since. How could I not? Larissa writes amazing stories and even more amazing heroines! I have yet to meet a heroine of hers that didn't kick some serious ass. And can I just mention that sarcastic, devil may care attitude problem that is Wraith? After Passion Unleashed I didn't think things could get any better but I was so glad to be wrong.
Once again Larissa took otherwise uninteresting figures of literature and turned them into fascinating characters embroiled in a dark and bloody battle and I loved every second of it! I enjoyed each Horseman but like many, Reseph was my favorite. Rogue Rider was a genius way to end a storyline yet raise enough questions to begin another. There's nothing I like more than a truly tortured bad boy trying to make amends...
Unless it's a mysterious angel with a habit of disobeying orders and a murky past.
That brings me to Reaver which I'm dying to read and can't wait until it's released so I can buy it, read it and talk about it on the blog. I have a feeling that Larissa Ione is going to outdo herself with this one. It's why she's on my Favorite Authors list and my Personalized, Signed Book list.
So which book would you pick if you won?
