Jessica Hunter lost her heart and her husband at the same time. He died, and she discovered his infidelities, leaving her a shattered mess.
Five years later, Jessica still isn’t interested in a relationship. That is, until she meets sexy, lead actor Penn Jackson on the set of a popular tween movie—and her life gets turned upside down. Swept away by Penn’s carefree attitude, she lets him into her heart—and her bed—even though Penn warns her that being with him will change her life.
Penn’s warning doesn’t mean much to her. But when his publicist begins a campaign to get rid of her, and a trip to the emergency room turns into a tabloid explosion, she doesn’t just lose her anonymity, but also her job. Now, Jessica will have to choose between the man she loves and the life she’s always known.

Hello Penn and Jessica, I hope it’s not a big inconvenience for you to sit and chat for a bit, I know you’re both very busy these days.
Can you tell me and other readers about yourselves?
Jessica: I was a high school teacher but kind of lost my job. (“Sorry” comes from Penn)
It’s okay. I work nights at a small community college teaching English
Penn: I finished the movie in Australia and I am taking some time off to get Jess settled in L.A. and working on being a better guy. I’m keeping my eyes out for another movie but won’t be jumping in too fast.
How did you meet one another?
Penn: I wasn’t watching where I was going and I ran her over.
Jessica: Smack! Right into the pavement. I was attending a visit to the set of his movie. My niece won a contest and I was her chaperone.
Jessica, is Penn’s occupation a big obstacle in your relationship? I mean, it must be tough for you to deal with all the attention that gets thrown your way. How do you handle it? Are there any perks of Penn’s job that you enjoy?
Jessica: His occupation has been a big obstacle from the start. I needed to live a pretty calm life as teacher and with him being one of the hottest one-hundred men in the world that is pretty difficult. (Penn rolls his eyes) I had to really learn to trust him and give him a chance to explain the tabloids. It’s been a learning experience. I can’t say I have had the chance to enjoy any perks of his job yet. He has needed to clean house with his management team so maybe when things calm down he’ll do something extravagant for me.
How about you Penn? How do you handle the scrutiny that comes with, well, being you? How do you plan on making things work with Jessica?
I don’t think I handled fame really well in the beginning. I took advantage of people. (Jessica clears her throat) Okay woman. I took advantage of the fact they wanted to be near me for the fame. I was looking for something and certainly wasn’t finding it that way. Jess helped me see I was hurting them as well as myself. I don’t really care what people say about me. I know what is true. But I want Jess to know it’s all a bunch of shit...sorry...most of it isn’t real. I think she saw that when they went after her. Jess and I are taking it day by day. I can be an ass and she is helping me to be a better man. (leans over and kisses her)
Jessica, what’s the best thing about Penn? How about the worst?
The best thing about Penn is his sense of humor. He is really a kid at heart...with a nasty mouth...but he finds humor in many situations and always has a quick comeback.
The worst thing about him is also sometimes his best...his accent. He uses many words I don’t know and when he talks fast I can’t understand him. But when he really turns it on it kind of makes my clothes fall off. (Penn laughs out loud!)
Penn, your turn, what’s are the best and worst things about Jessica?
Best thing about her is she is the most wonderful person I have ever met. She sees people for who they are. Like she has x-ray vision to see the person inside. She isn’t fooled by a fancy wrapping on the outside. The worst thing is she holds on to things. She needs to let go of expectations and opinions of the past and live her life for today. She’s been hurt but she needs to get past it. Not let it affect her present.
Jessica: Spoken from Dr. Jackson here. (she knocks him in the shoulder)
Penn: Love you babe.
Jessica: (leans over and kisses him on the cheek) Love you too.
So, what’s next for you two?
Jessica: Just working and trying to settle into a new life. As much as I don’t like to admit it, Penn’s right. I need to bury my demons and move on. Until I feel like I have done that we are kind of just taking it day by day. Enjoying each other.
Penn: (looks at her like she is nuts) We’re getting married.
Is there anything else you two would like readers to know?
Jessica: That Penn is a bad influence on me and I would normally never say some of the things the readers will read. Especially during the gross off.
Penn: She’s lying she totally got into the gross off and she swears like a sailor.
(They both start laughing)
Thank you both for chatting with me today and best of luck to you in the future!
Thank you. We enjoyed talking to you as well.
