I'm a relatively new fan of Laura Wright's. I first noticed her books last year when I was perusing my local Barnes & Noble bookstore. I was in between paranormal romances (basically I just finished a great read and was waiting for the next release by another author) and a hot guy on a cover is just begging to be looked at. The book was Eternal Captive. The summary had me racing to the nearest register when I realized it was the third book in a series.
I rationalized that if I didn't get the previous books in the Mark of the Vampire series, then Eternal Captive would just sit on my shelf, unread and eventually forgotten. Thus my purchase of three new, hunky vampire heroes. Then I saw that the next book in the series (Eternal Beast) was due to be released in a few days and that Laura would be having a Twitter party to celebrate. Well I did NOT want to miss that so I dedicated the next few days to reading the whole series so that I wouldn't be left out of the conversations.
Let me just say that I went through a lot of ice and my fan almost burned out because Laura Wright has some of the most erotic, bone melting scenes I have ever read! I mean, WOW! I read all three books in about a week. I may have bitten one or two people who tried to interrupt me during that time period but I can't remember.
Do I have a favorite? Yes. It's Lucian. That gorgeous, damaged, sexy vampire. RAWR.
Anyway, I also found out that Laura was having a virtual signing for Eternal Beast, book 4 in the series. Guess who got a personalized, signed copy of Eternal Beast? I'm one lucky vampire girl. Can I say that Eternal Beast turned me into a puddle of hormones? Yes? Okay, well that's what it did. *fans self*
I Smell Sheep (where I'm a guest reviewer). That review has already been posted.
However, the icing and cherry on this particular cake is that I Smell Sheep will be interviewing Laura Wright and Sharon kindly gave me a chance to ask 4 questions! Yes my dears, I can now put a double check mark next to Laura's name under "Get a personalized/signed book from author" and "Interview this Author." Yes, to me, romance novelists are rock stars, just way more accessible to the average person.
Yep. Blogging can be very rewarding.
